Recently, Mr. Hao Jinyu, President of SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. (SGS CSTC), and his delegation visited Shanghai HuaYi Technology Group Co., Ltd. (HuaYi Technology). The visit was hosted by Mr. Li Yin, Chairman of HuaYi Technology. During the meeting, both sides introduced their company profiles and operational philosophies, expressing mutual expectations of equal cooperation and shared quality achievements. They engaged in friendly and in-depth discussions on the development of domestic energy storage battery testing services and the progress of their current cooperation. Also present were Mr. Yu Xiaolong, Senior Operations Director of the Testing Center at Shanghai HuaYi Technology Group, and Mr. Zheng Kai, Director of Renewable and Advanced Energy at SGS Electronics & Electrical Services.

In early May this year, SGS CSTC and Shanghai HuaYi’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai HuaYi Automotive Testing Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai HuaYi), signed a cooperation agreement on energy storage battery testing services. The scope of cooperation includes laboratory capacity building, digital empowerment of laboratories, and enhancement of laboratory quality management systems. Specific standards covered include stationary energy storage battery standards (IEC 62619, IEC 63056, UL 1973, UL9540A) and mobile energy storage battery (industrial vehicle battery) standards (IEC 62619, UL2580).

As an internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification institution, SGS continuously accumulates resources in batteries, electronics, electrical equipment, and big data within the renewable and advanced energy sectors. This positions SGS to provide comprehensive services including technical validation, product certification, quality improvement, and technology development to the new energy industry and its upstream and downstream supply chains. The collaboration with Shanghai HuaYi signifies SGS’s enhanced testing service capabilities in the East China market, aiming to deliver more convenient, efficient, and high-quality testing, inspection, and certification services to the domestic energy storage battery industry.
