China Energy Construction to Explore Cooperation Opportunities in Global Renewable Energy and Energy Storage with ACWA Power

On September 20, Song Hailiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Energy Construction, met with Mohammed Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, at the company headquarters. They held in-depth discussions on strengthening global market cooperation and accelerating major project implementation. Song welcomed Abunayyan’s delegation and briefly introduced China Energy Construction’s development advantages and their cooperation history. He emphasized that as a technology-driven, integrated energy, comprehensive infrastructure, and collaborative development enterprise, China Energy Construction is fully committed to advancing four major transformations in renewable energy, new infrastructure, new industries, and new materials.

ACWA Power is one of China Energy Construction’s largest overseas clients in terms of cooperation scale and resource investment. In recent years, their teams have closely collaborated on significant projects in solar, wind, gas turbines, and desalination. Song expressed China Energy Construction’s intention to leverage its eight core advantages—national think tank capabilities, top-level design, energy technology, and more—to deepen cooperation with ACWA Power in renewable energy, hydrogen, energy storage, gas turbines, and grid planning, fostering effective communication and collaboration mechanisms for mutual benefits and shared development in the global market.

Abunayyan thanked China Energy Construction for its long-term support, stating that ACWA Power considers it a key strategic partner, with their collaboration yielding fruitful results and a strong bond. He noted that China Energy Construction has clear development plans and significant core advantages, and expressed ACWA Power’s willingness to establish a lasting, stable, mutually beneficial partnership. Together, they aim to explore further cooperation opportunities in global renewable energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, and gas turbines, efficiently advancing major projects and leading the global energy transition. Key executives from both companies attended the meeting.
